Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Seoul, South Korea is the oldest university in Korea dating back to 1398! UIS students can study at SKKU through our student exchange program. UIS students can also apply to SKKU’s summer program for the summer of 2020.
UIS and the University of Hyderabad in India are now partners and UIS students can take advantage of UoH’s Study in India Programs, particularly their summer offerings.
New Study Away option
UIS has become a member of the National Student Exchange program, NSE. Study away through NSE provides opportunities to study with over 160 universities in the USA and Canada. UIS students pay tuition and fees to UIS and room and board fees to the host institution. This option will be available to students beginning in the fall of 2020. Priority consideration will be given to students who apply in Jan./Feb. of 2020. The application process is the same for all study away programs – Fill out the Global Experience Program application, submit two letters of recommendation and an official transcript, meet with the Director of Study Away Programs.
Priority deadline for all summer and fall study abroad programs in 2020 – Feb. 7, 2020
Application Deadline: Feb. 15, 2020 for programs in the summer of 2020, fall of 2020 and spring of 2021.
Please note that in order to be eligible for the study abroad scholarships students must submit a completed Global Experience Application to Study Away Programs by Feb. 7th, 2020.
