Study Away Information

*New International Partner

UIS and Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Seoul, South Korea is UIS’s newest partner.  SKKU is the oldest university in Korea dating back to 1398!  At present we are working on a student exchange program with the intention to begin the exchange of students in the spring of 2020.  UIS students can also apply to SKKU’s summer program for the summer of 2020.

New Study Away option

UIS is in the process of becoming a member of the National Student Exchange program, NSE.  Study away through NSE provides opportunities to study with over 130 universities in the USA and Canada.  UIS students pay tuition and fees to UIS and room and board fees to the host institution.  It is anticipated that this option will be available to students beginning in the fall of 2020.  Priority consideration will be given to students who apply in Jan./Feb. of 2020.  More information will be forthcoming once membership has been approved.
