Announcement:
Employment-based Visa Categories: H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3 and Permanent Residency
Effective Nov. 1, 2023, University of Illinois Springfield’s international employee immigration case management transitioned to the University of Illinois Chicago’s Office of International Services (OIS). This includes employment-based visa categories H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3 and Permanent Residency only. Student and scholar visa categories such as F and J will continue to be managed by the UIS staff (contact ISS for F visa and SAP for J visa related inquiries).
OIS has a robust and highly experienced staff capable of providing immigration guidance and case processing to both international employees and their hosting departments. Currently, OIS is integrating UIS international employee immigration records into its case management system.
