Dear UIS Faculty and Staff,
Happy Homecoming week! We're thrilled to invite you to our upcoming UIS events, where you can support your Prairie Stars and enjoy our special promotions!
Here's the deal: Come join us as we celebrate Volleyball's Home Opener with Youth Night!
The Office of Strategic Communications will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Fall 2024 for all staff or faculty. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn’t had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken is encouraged to attend.
The Campus Relations studio is in the Business Services Building, Room 95 (BSB 95).
Dear colleagues,
A section of Richard Wright Drive will be closed Friday, September 27 from noon to 6 p.m. for the Homecoming Pep Rally Block party.
The Office of Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) offers digital badging services that let UIS departments validate employee skills and acknowledge student achievements outside the classroom.
You can partner with CAPE to design professional badges for your workshops, trainings, conferences, and other learning events. Badge earners can share their credentials on platforms like LinkedIn, showcasing what they have learned and their institution's commitment to professional growth.

Welcome to the Fall Semester! It is great to have more life on campus after a busy (and short) summer. I want to thank everyone who attended the Faculty & Staff Kickoff and a wonderful New Student Convocation and Party on the Quad. I commend our Student Affairs colleagues for the great events that will hopefully become a terrific UIS tradition that grows over time.
UIS faculty and staff are invited to honor this year's recipient of the prestigious University Scholars Award on Monday, September 30, in the Student Union Ballroom.
