UIS is committed to protecting minors that visit campus so they can enjoy the wonderful events and programs our community offers. For departments that want to offer programs to minors (persons under the age of eighteen (18)), our Protection of Minors page has detailed information on planning and hosting an event for young visitors.

As part of the university’s NorthStar strategic visioning initiative, the University is announcing a Voluntary Separation Plan (UIS-VSP) available for all employees who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the plan including that they have satisfied the retirement age and service requirements under the State Universities Retirement System of Illinois (“SURS”) prior to August 15, 2026 and who have not provided a written notice of resignation or intent to retire from UIS prior to the Plan Effective Date.

To Employees Served by the State Universities Civil Service System:

We are issuing a retraction of the previously distributed notice regarding the upcoming election for the State Universities Civil Service Advisory Committee (SUCSAC).

As a University of Illinois employee, you are required to complete ethics training on an annual basis. This year's course focuses on relevant issues and events as they relate to the State Officials and Employees Ethics ActIllinois Executive Order 15-09 and the Illinois Human Rights Act.

The training is available until 5:00 PM Central Time on October 31, 2025.
