For faculty and staff awareness regarding the 2026 Commencement Ceremonies, the following information was sent to UIS students' email addresses.

Dear students,

Planning is underway for the 2026 Commencement Ceremonies! All critical commencement information will arrive via your uis.edu email, so check your inbox frequently. You can also check the Commencement website for updates.

UIS Library invites you to join us for our first UIS Library Reading Challenge, running from January 12 to April 19, 2026.

How It Works:

Step 1: To participate in the challenge, read a book that matches one of the squares on the bingo card. Ebooks and audiobooks count, too!

UIS is committed to maintaining a drug-free environment for its students and employees, in compliance with applicable federal and state laws. Our Drug Prevention Policy and Program was prepared in accordance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989.

The library side elevator in Brookens is currently out of service. Kone technicians are repairing this elevator so it is operable as soon as possible.

We will keep you updated as we know more. Everyone's understanding and continued patience are appreciated.

Thank you,

What’s something you’re really proud of?

One accomplishment I am especially proud of is graduating in December 2025 with my Master of Business Administration. Earning my MBA was a long-term personal and professional goal, and I am grateful for the opportunity to complete it at the University of Illinois Springfield.

Do you have a travel bucket list? What’s at the top?
