The Annual Evaluation Process for Academic Professional and Civil Service employees has begun!  Human Resources is pleased to present an updated electronic version of the Annual Performance Evaluation to be used as of April 1, 2026.

We are often pulled in many different directions when we're thinking of ways to create assignments in our courses. How do we make our assignments more AI-resilient? How can we encourage group work in an online course while ensuring everyone has access to the same document (and how might we keep track of who has contribute what)? What can we do to streamline templatized content so that there is no download and upload process? Answering these questions (and more) can be daunting; one possible solution to address these challenges is the implementation of Google Assignments.

Dear Faculty and Staff:

During our March 26 bargaining session with the union representing tenured/tenure-track faculty, the University delivered a comprehensive package proposal on all outstanding issues in an attempt to come to an agreement. By the end of the session, the Union had uncoupled one item from that package and presented a counterproposal on that one item to the University; all other proposals remain with the Union, and we look forward to their responses at our next meeting today, March 30.

Two months down! We’re up past two hundred submissions, and we have some new
recommendations from our participants if you are running thin on ideas. Here are some of the
books that were submitted in the past month.

A vote is expected at the April 3 or April 17 meeting. This effort has been underway since spring 2021, and we are thrilled to see it make the senate agenda.
