The Good Idea Fund is available again this year, offering one-time, nonrecurring funds to support innovative ideas from UIS faculty and staff. The fund supports a wide range of projects that have the potential to make a positive and broad impact across the university.

Faculty and staff may request up to $5,000, and smaller requests are also welcome. Proposals may support projects such as new programs, research initiatives or efforts to improve campus life.

Applications submitted by Oct. 1 will be considered, with decisions from the Provost’s Leadership Team communicated by Oct. 15. All funds must be expended during the current fiscal year, and awardees must submit a final report no later than July 15, 2027.
