The Chancellor’s Office is accepting applications for the Chancellor’s Associate Program, a professional development opportunity designed to provide eligible faculty and staff with hands-on experience in university leadership, strategic initiatives and institutional decision-making. Through the program, associates will work closely with senior leaders, broaden their understanding of university operations and contribute to projects that advance UIS priorities.

Two positions are currently available:

  • Chancellor’s Associate for Professional Development, responsible for advancing and coordinating faculty and staff professional development initiatives, including the annual RISE Retreat.
  • Chancellor’s Associate for Institutional Artificial Intelligence Strategy, responsible for supporting the strategic, responsible and effective adoption of artificial intelligence across the university.

These positions are open to full-time faculty, academic professionals or exempt civil service staff. Those eligible who are interested are invited to review the program details and application requirements on the Chancellor’s Associate Program website. The Associate remains in their current position and is compensated via stipend at the same frequency (monthly/biweekly) that they currently are paid.

Applications will be accepted through Sept. 11.
