Highlighting recent scholarly accomplishments from faculty members at the Computer Science Department, showcasing our contributions to AI, cybersecurity, molecular programming, and beyond.
Key findings or impacts
Developed a one week summer camp curriculum on AI Foundation of autonomous vehicles for K9-12 and implemented it at UIS and ISU campuses in summer 2023
Methods & Key Findings :
Metalloproteinases (MPs), a family of zinc-dependent endopeptidases, include matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and a disintegrin and metalloproteinases (ADAMs). These enzymes are tightly associated with several diseases when not regulated by their inhibitors and activators, making them attractive targets for developing novel protein-based therapeutics . In this work , we explored application of deep learning models in screening binders to MPs.
