Dear UIS Faculty and Staff:

The first candidate for the vacancy of the inaugural Director (and Visiting Associate Professor or Professor) of the planned School of Applied Engineering will be on campus this coming Monday, August 31st. 

This inaugural Director of the School of Applied Engineering will provide academic, strategic, and operational leadership, working to establish a School and launching a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Technology delivered through a work-based learning model. This visiting leadership role is designed to establish the School's academic, cultural, and partnership foundations and position the program for long-term sustainability and future accreditation. 

The first candidate will give a Leadership Presentation on that day, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in UHB 2008. Those who can't attend in-person may join via Zoom. Interested student are also welcome to join.

A second candidate is scheduled to be on campus on Tuesday, Sept. 9th, and the third and last candidate on Thursday, Sept. 10th.  Please watch your email and Orbit for additional information on each finalist.
