Parking Lot Closures on Tues., March 4 - Lots E, F and J

Please be aware that on Tuesday, March 4, Parking Lot J and a section of Lot F will be closed to campus for parking due to an event being held at the Student Union.

Parking Lot E will also be closed on Tuesday, March 4, so that school children may safely enter the UIS Performing Arts Center for the Staley Class Acts performance The Boy from Troy.

On this date, please make sure to plan accordingly and utilize alternate parking lots authorized by your parking hang tag.

Can you give me a brief timeline of how your career led you to UIS?
After spending five years teaching general music, band and choir in Sangamon County, I realized my passion was in higher education. Seeking opportunities to contribute to student success, I am now grateful to be part of the registrar's office at the UIS, where I can help students achieve their academic goals.

Faculty and Staff Campaign Kickoff - Free Swag!

The 20th annual Faculty and Staff Campaign Kickoff event is Thursday, March 6, from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.

As a thank you to our faculty and staff donors, all employees who make a gift to any UIS fund on March 6 will receive this personal fan with fun UIS messages. You will also have an opportunity to collect more UIS swag just for coming to the kickoff event.

APPLICATION WINDOW CLOSES 2/28: Voluntary Separation Plan (UIS-VSP)

As part of the university’s NorthStar strategic visioning initiative, the University is announcing a Voluntary Separation Plan (UIS-VSP) available for all employees who have an appointment greater than 50% FTE and who have not provided a written notice of resignation or intent to retire from UIS prior to the Plan Effective Date.

Message from President Killeen: Gov. Pritzker’s proposed budget would increase U of I System appropriation

The state budget proposed today by Gov. JB Pritzker would provide a 2.7 percent increase in state-appropriated general operating funds for the University of Illinois System, increasing the system’s general funds appropriation to $730.1 million for the coming fiscal year. The proposal represents a continuation of the vital reinvestment our state and Gov. Pritzker have made in recent years in public higher education.
