What are Living Learning Communities?

A Living Learning Community (LLC) is a residential program where students with shared academic interests, goals, or interests live within a specific Residence Hall wing or Residential area. It integrates both living and learning experiences by offering academic support, co-curricular activities, and social events tailored to the community’s focus.

Welcome to Graduate Education at UIS

We are pleased that you have chosen to explore our graduate degree and certificate programs.  More than 40% of UIS students are engaged in graduate study, and most were attracted to UIS by an impressive combination of factors that include educational quality, value and campus location and setting.

Residents must properly complete a checkout at the time they vacate any student housing unit or any time they move into a different space. Improper Checkouts will result in a $50 fine which will be noted on the damage summary. Proper check-out procedures will be communicated to all residents by their area Area Coordinator.
