Dear colleagues:
This year we will have a 2% merit-based salary program across the University of Illinois System.
Our faculty and staff are the drivers of the excellence we deliver to students, their families and the people of Illinois. This year’s salary program, crafted in consultation with system and university leadership, remains an important priority, even as we weigh many competing financial demands and budgetary constraints.
Facilities and Services will oversee the inspection of fire alarm systems during the week of July 8th. This is primarily a visual inspection, but there will be brief, intermittent activations of alarm horns and strobe lights as part of inspection procedures.
Please see the building inspection schedule below:
Monday, July 8
Web Services will host a series of workshops in July to help MarCom professionals across the university leverage the Webtools platform to implement the brand. Workshops will include several new enhancements to Forms, Surveys and Email+.
Facilities and Services want to inform you that required annual elevator inspections will occur across campus starting the week of July 1.
The elevators will be taken out of service briefly during this inspection process. Please be mindful of posted signs, as they will indicate when an elevator is temporarily unavailable.
We will send out a notification if there are any changes to the inspection schedule.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to ensure a safe and efficient environment in which to learn, live, and work.

Copyleaks: AI Plagiarism and AI Content Detection
Dear faculty,
COLRS and ITS are excited to announce that we will be transitioning to Copyleaks as our plagiarism and AI content detection tool.
Dear Faculty and Staff,
The cybersecurity team is seeing an increase in compromised accounts through sophisticated attacks, particularly related to Duo MFA, the University of Illinois’ multifactor authentication (MFA) solution.
What is happening?
Fraudulent emails, known as phishing, are a common way criminals steal NetIDs and passwords and gain access to your private information and university resources.
