Faculty and Staff,

UIS Athletics is collecting snack items for Compass for Kids, a not-for-profit organization that is transforming the Springfield community. Through innovative after-school and summer programs, Compass for Kids provides critical resources and support to underserved children in Springfield Public Schools (District 186).

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Facilities and Services will be overseeing the inspection and testing of fire alarms this week. The alarm horns and the strobe lights will be activated intermittently as part of the test procedures to ensure all components of the system are working properly. Please note: You should not ignore any alarms sounding outside this schedule or alarms that sound for a prolonged length of time.

Please be advised that tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, Parking Lots C-North, C-South, D, E, and the PAC Teardrop will be closed to campus for parking due to the Illinois House of Representatives Inauguration ceremony.

SMTD bus service will be reduced to service only at the bus shelter next to Founders Residence Hall at Eliza Farnham and Vachel Lindsay Drive from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

With the start of the semester upon us, we wanted to remind you of the many tools and resources that are available to support you and your students.
