The water has been shut off to all floors of PAC Tower 2 due to an unexpected plumbing problem discovered this afternoon. Our crews are actively working on repairs.
Please note that Towers 1 and 3 are not affected, and their restrooms remain available for use.

The search for the UIS Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources has yielded two finalists. They will be visiting campus for interviews Nov. 18 and 20.
An open forum will take place for interested faculty and staff to attend and learn more about each of the candidates. A Zoom link is available for each forum, but in-person attendance is strongly encouraged. Participants on Zoom will be able to ask questions via the chat function only.

On Friday, November 8th at 6 p.m. UIS Volleyball will host Great Lakes Valley Conference rival McKendree University in our annual Faculty/Staff Appreciation match.
On Wednesday, November 6, the UIS Office of Advancement is hosting the UIS Scholarship luncheon at the Student Union.
Therefore, Parking Lot J will be closed to campus for parking due to this event.
On this date, please make sure to plan accordingly and utilize alternate parking lots authorized by your parking hang tag.

The ANCRA legislation requires you to report suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
UIS is a member of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. RISE Springfield, the young professionals program from the chamber, is planning a Leadership Conference for April 29, 2025 at the Memorial Learning Center. Please consider sharing your knowledge/experience with young professionals within the greater Springfield area. Proposals are due November 11, 2024.
The deadline for ECCE Speaker Series proposals for events that will take place during the Spring 2025 semester has been extended to Friday, November 8 at 5 p.m.

The Sangamon County Board of Elections will be in the Student Union from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this week for early voting in the 2024 General Election.
NOTE: This polling place is only for residents in the following precincts: Capital 14, 21, 37, 60, 70, 82, 92, Woodside 02 and Woodside 04.
Students registered to vote with a campus address may use this location. On-site voter registration is available.
