Caleb Beausoleil choose the University of Illinois Springfield because of the small campus, academics and scholarships available to students. On campus, he is a member of the Christian Student Fellowship and the Capital Scholars Honors Program. Asked what he most likes about UIS, he said “I enjoy the people and community here on campus.” Following graduation from UIS, he plans on becoming a high school history teacher.

Madison Fugnitti works as a childcare aide at the University of Illinois Springfield’s Cox Children’s Center. In her hometown of Pawnee, she earned the title of Miss Pawnee Prairie Days in 2019. She also started a Facebook group to allow parents to connect with reliable, trustworthy and qualified babysitters in and around Pawnee.
