In accordance with the UIS Policy on Weapons Screening at the UIS Performing Arts Center, we are once again implementing a weapons screening at the UIS Performing Arts Center in the Public Affairs Center (PAC) building. This screening will be on Sunday, Nov. 20, for the sold-out John Mulaney comedy show. The building lockdown and patron screening activity will occur from approximately 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In accordance with the UIS Policy on Weapons Screening at the UIS Performing Arts Center, the Joe Bonamassa concert being held at the UIS Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, will require weapons screening of all event attendees and other individuals desiring access to the Public Affairs Center (PAC).
The UIS Performing Arts Center has created a new program called Our Stage / Our Voices. Director of Artistic Programs Carly Shank and Artist in Residence Reggie Guyton spoke to Community Voices about the program and how it will help give a voice to under represented communities in the performing arts.

Emmy award-winning writer, actor and comedian John Mulaney will perform in Springfield this May.
Beginning in March 2022, Mulaney started touring with his newest hour, John Mulaney: From Scratch. His show at the University of Illinois Springfield Performing Arts Center is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
