Emmy award-winning writer, actor and comedian John Mulaney will perform in Springfield this May. 

Beginning in March 2022, Mulaney started touring with his newest hour, John Mulaney: From Scratch. His show at the University of Illinois Springfield Performing Arts Center is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

Important Notice!

University Facilities & Services has informed us that the PAC building will undergo a major plumbing renovation which will affect our meeting room spaces. As a result, we regret to inform you that all 1st floor meeting rooms will be unavailable for use from February 1, 2025 through at least June 30, 2026.

Brookens Auditorium and the 3rd Floor Atrium will still be open, though noise levels may be unpredictable due to construction.

University of Illinois Springfield announces Choir of Man as part of the show's third U.S. tour. The performance is on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the UIS Performing Arts Center.

Sangamon County reported 107 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, marking the fourth consecutive day the county confirmed more than 100 positive tests for the coronavirus. Over the last seven days, the county has averaged 102 new cases of COVID-19 daily as the delta variant continues to surge.

Currently, 52.08% of Sangamon County’s population is fully vaccinated, based on data from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

If you’re planning to attend a show at the UIS Performing Arts Center this fall, be prepared to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID test.

That’s just one of the precautions being put in place by UIS amid an ongoing surge of new COVID cases. Attendance at Sangamon Auditorium events is being limited to 1,000… which is 50-percent capacity. Concession stands will be closed, although patrons can bring bottled water into shows.
