Weapons Screening at UIS Performing Arts Center
The Director of UIS Performing Arts Services (PAS) shall determine if an event at the UIS Performing Arts Center requires weapons screening of event attendees and other personnel with access to the Public Affairs Center building. Such determination shall be based specifically on a request of a venue licensee (renter) or to fulfill a contractual obligation UIS may have with contracted event, performer, speaker, etc. No determination by the Director shall be based on other criteria except for a recommendation or requirement from the UIS Police Chief.
Sangamon County reported 107 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, marking the fourth consecutive day the county confirmed more than 100 positive tests for the coronavirus. Over the last seven days, the county has averaged 102 new cases of COVID-19 daily as the delta variant continues to surge.
Currently, 52.08% of Sangamon County’s population is fully vaccinated, based on data from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
