Following President Killeen’s June 25 announcement, this message confirms the 1% merit-based salary program for the 2025-26 academic year. The 1% merit-based salary program is to be distributed at the discretion of the unit head. Division heads will identify the unit head for each area based on operational responsibility.

Dear colleagues —

I’m pleased to share that the UIS Innovation Center will lease space at Horace Mann’s downtown Springfield campus to expand programs that support economic development in the region. The 2.5-year lease will allow the center to broaden programming and services focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration. The move is expected to be completed by September.
