In compliance with Section 438 of the General Education Provisions Act (as amended) entitled “Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act” (FERPA), the following constitutes the campus’s policy which instructs students in the procedures available to provide appropriate access to personal records, while protecting their confidentiality.
A. Certain definitions and principles contained in the FERPA guidelines are specifically adopted in the policy:
The Office of Records and Registration at the University of Illinois Springfield will issue official transcripts of a student’s academic record at the University upon request of the student (note: telephone and email requests are not honored).
The web-based schedule always contains the most current information. It also provides students with textbook information.

Students are responsible for knowing and adhering to the policies, deadlines, and procedures contained in the catalog and current policies and registration information booklet. If you are considering a departure from UIS please note the following:
The Student Self-Service System provides students with access to their personal and academic information. Students can register for classes, view class schedules, pay tuition and fees, view financial aid information, view grades and academic history, update their personal information, and much more.
If you are a continuing student who did not attend UIS in at least one of the previous three semesters (summer is considered a semester), your record must be reactivated before you can register. Please note the following:
