Human Resources is excited to announce an in-person Supervisor Training session to be held from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 in the Student Union Ballroom.

The SHIELD COVID-19 testing site on campus will be closed Monday, Oct. 10, due to a lab closure. The site will re-open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Protect yourself and others by getting your flu shot this year! UIS Health Services and the Sangamon County Department of Public Health are offering flu shots to the UIS community from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Nov. 16, located on the first floor of the Public Affairs Center (PAC) in meeting rooms C and D.

This October we encourage you to take steps that raise your awareness of cybersecurity in all your roles at the university and beyond. We're focusing on Phishing: how to identify it, report it, and protect yourself against it.

The Cox Children’s Center and the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center encourage your participation in our annual Trunk or Treat for Canned Goods campus event. Sign up (either as an individual or as a department) to decorate a vehicle. Use your creativity! This can be a car, truck, golf cart, wagon….you name it!

The Office of Campus Relations will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Fall 2022 for all staff or faculty. These can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conference, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn’t had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken are encouraged to attend.

The Office of Web Service (OWS) has developed the functionality to create mailing lists, add a subscription sign-up form to your site, and send newsletters of your units most recent articles to your mailing list subscribers.
