Can you give me a brief timeline of how your career led you to UIS?
After spending five years teaching general music, band and choir in Sangamon County, I realized my passion was in higher education. Seeking opportunities to contribute to student success, I am now grateful to be part of the registrar's office at the UIS, where I can help students achieve their academic goals.

What do you like to do outside of work?

What’s your favorite season of the year and why?

My favorite season is fall. I love everything about it—the changing leaves, the crisp weather and, most importantly, Halloween.

Visiting Pumpkin Creek Farm has become a yearly tradition for my family, and I look forward to it every year. We love their corn maze because it has trivia questions as you navigate through it. We’ve made it a competition to see who gets the most answers correct—competing with siblings is always fun! We can't wait to take my nephew this fall for the first time!

As part of the university’s NorthStar strategic visioning initiative, the University is announcing a Voluntary Separation Plan (UIS-VSP) available for all employees who have an appointment greater than 50% FTE and who have not provided a written notice of resignation or intent to retire from UIS prior to the Plan Effective Date.

The state budget proposed today by Gov. JB Pritzker would provide a 2.7 percent increase in state-appropriated general operating funds for the University of Illinois System, increasing the system’s general funds appropriation to $730.1 million for the coming fiscal year. The proposal represents a continuation of the vital reinvestment our state and Gov. Pritzker have made in recent years in public higher education.

TodayFebruary 14, is the final day to register for March crowdfunding opportunities (Faculty and Staff Campaign and March 19-20 Day of Giving).
