Despite fewer Americans choosing to earn a college degree, the significance of pursuing a higher education at the University of Illinois Springfield remains profound.

Financial Aid Director Laci Engelbrecht hosted a webinar on March 13th to explain changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students and families. The aim was to help them understand how these changes might affect them. A recording of the webinar is available for those who couldn't attend the live session.
UIS announces the waiver of application fees for transfer students from three local community colleges
The University of Illinois Springfield is making it easier for students at three local community colleges to continue their education.
Starting with the Fall 2024 application period, UIS will waive the $50 application fee for transfer students applying from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Richland Community College in Decatur and Illinois Central College in East Peoria.
