UIS showcases impactful women for Women's History Month

The Sangamon Experience at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) will present five live-streamed historical discussions at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays in March.

The series of live-streamed discussions is part of their “Women’s History Month: Community Trailblazers” series.

We are told the series plans to highlight women who have impacted their community here in central Illinois throughout the month.

Sangamon Experience seeks input from local historical, cultural, and community organizations to help supply materials, ideas, and research for upcoming programs and exhibitions. In doing so, we embrace the ethic of the shared pursuit of knowledge and interpretation about the past. The Sangamon Experience campus exhibition space is curated by teams of faculty and students, local partners, and community volunteers.
