A

A-2 – Dependents of A-1 visa holders (employees of foreign governments who enter the United States on official business). Dependents of A principals may study in the United States without additional permission, although employment is not possible unless the dependent is granted employment authorization by the USCIS.

ADIS – Arrival Departure Information System – US government data system that interacts with the electronic manifest system to identify out of status individuals.

Within the United States

Travel within the 48 contiguous states does not require any special permit or documentation; however, you should take your original travel documents (passport, visa, I-94, and I-20) and a separate photocopy (in case the originals are lost). You should also make sure that someone has access to another photocopy of these documents. Lost or damaged documents can be difficult and costly to replace.
