Information Technology Services (ITS) is aware of a nationwide security incident involving Canvas, the university’s learning management system. We are actively monitoring updates from Instructure and assessing any potential impact to university services.

This is a vendor-driven, nationwide event affecting multiple institutions.

Phone Service Outage: Receiving Calls from Outside UIS

We are currently experiencing a hardware failure that is affecting campus phone service. At this time, outgoing calls and internal office‑to‑office calls are functioning normally. However, we are unable to receive incoming calls from outside UIS.

Replacement hardware is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning. We will send a follow‑up email once full phone service has been restored.

Printing at UIS has become even easier with the new Pharos Mobile Print. With Pharos Mobile Print, users can either send an email with the file they need to print attached or they can use My Print Center. 

Sending an Email Attachment

To use Pharos Mobile Print, create a new email addressed to pharosmobileprint@uis.edu. Next attach the document that you want to print to the message and press send.
