Holiday Celebrations

While there will be no campus-wide holiday party this year, departments are encouraged to individually celebrate the season and recognize the hard work and commitment of UIS employees. Here are some important updates and announcements from the UIS Office of Human Resources: 

Per the State University Civil Service System statute, all Academic Professional and Civil Service job descriptions are required to be reviewed and updated at least every three years, including the signatures of the incumbent and supervisor.  In order to comply with this statutory mandate, UIS must collect job descriptions by the end of this calendar year.  We are excited to utilize our new JDXpert system for this process.  Once the supervisor and dean/director have approved the document it will be sent to the employee for electronic signature.  It will then be availabl

Here are some important updates and announcements from the UIS Office of Human Resources: 

Supervisor Training October 28th

Registration is currently open for Supervisor Training on Oct. 28 in the Student Union Ballroom. HR will be working with partners across campus to provide a comprehensive, full day of training that all supervisors are encouraged to attend.

Human Resources is excited to announce an in-person Supervisor Training session to be held from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 in the Student Union Ballroom.

Here are some important announcements and updates from the UIS Office of Human Resources.

Human Resources will be holding an open forum via Zoom to answer questions related to JDXpert and Cornerstone. The session will be held on Wednesday, September 21^st from 9 -10 a.m.  Department users involved in submitting position requests or changes are encouraged to attend.  The session will be recorded and available on the Human Resources website.
