UIS webinar series to explore the conflict in Ukraine “Human Rights, Law and the International Community”
WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield will host a webinar panel discussion on human rights violations, legal recourses for victims the role of the international community in the conflict in Ukraine.
This virtual Zoom webinar is free and open to the public. It is hosted by the UIS Center for State Policy and Leadership and UIS College of Public Affairs and Administration. Co-sponsors include the UIS Office of Continuing and Professional Education and NPR Illinois.

UIS’ Sangamon Experience to host “Sangamo Country: 200 Years of Sangamon County” film premiere
WHAT: Sangamon Experience at the University of Illinois Springfield will premiere the original documentary, “Sangamo Country: 200 Years of Sangamon County.” The film features local researchers and citizens discussing the history of the county and sharing stories that have often been long forgotten.
The documentary is a production of Sangamon Experience and the Sangamon County Bicentennial Commission, cooperating with the Sangamon County Historical Society.

UIS webinar series to explore the conflict in Ukraine “The Economics of the Crisis”
WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield will host a webinar panel discussion and Q&A with faculty experts discussing the economic consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for Ukraine, Russia and the world as well as the role of the international community in the conflict and potential aftermath of the conflict.
UIS to hold four academic summer camps for middle and high school students
University of Illinois Springfield Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) will offer four academic summer camps for middle and high school students in June and July. Each experience will be led by a UIS faculty member and will offer students a challenging, fun and affordable summer experience.
