I graduated with a BA in Accounting. UIS's flexible schedule and focusing on working students, which was not common at that time, was extremely important to me. I learned Accounting while at UIS, which led me to a 40 year career in all kinds of financial positions. I was a member of the Accounting Club.

As in previous years, the Conference promises to bring together a vibrant community of academics and practitioners in finance, economics, psychology, and decision sciences, featuring regular and poster presentations, academic and practitioner keynotes, and research awards.

Can you give me a brief timeline of how your career led you to UIS?
The University of Illinois Springfield team earned second place in the 2024 Community Bank Case Study Competition, hosted by the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS). The UIS team partnered with INB in Springfield.
The University of Illinois Springfield has released the names of the 698 students who made the Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2024.
A total of 104 students in the College of Business and Management; 320 students in the College of Health, Science and Technology; 109 students in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; 143 students in the College of Public Affairs and Education; and 22 non-degree seeking or undecided students made the list.
The University of Illinois Springfield Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance has launched a new job shadowing program for undergraduate students to help them learn from experts in the field.
The University of Illinois Springfield’s Harry and Deborah Berman Sabbatical Award has been presented to Mohammed Mohi Uddin, associate professor of accounting, economics and finance in the College of Business and Management. He will receive $3,000 to support research during his sabbatical leave.
