Requirements

  • UIS undergraduate student in good academic standing.
  • Students must have successfully completed at least 1 full year/2 semesters (24 credits) at UIS.
  • Academically high achieving and independent student.
  • Previous knowledge of Spanish is not required, however it is strongly recommended.

  • At least 50% of course selections need to be within your "faculty" (major)
  • Exchange students will enroll into at least 24 ECTS/ 12 US credit hours while at UV
  • Students can also enroll in Spanish language courses at an additional cost via the Language Center

Passport & Visa

  • Students will require a passport to participate on this program. 
  • For assistance securing a U.S. Passport, visit Travel.State.Gov.
  • U.S. citizens will require a visa in order to participate in this program. After acceptance into the program, students follow instructions from the host university to apply for the visa. Early application for a Spanish visa is highly encouraged.
