University of Illinois Springfield is waiving all application fees starting from now through the 2022-2023 academic year for all incoming students.

Officials said students can apply to the university through Common App. It is an online college application platform that serves more than three million applicants, teachers, counselors and advisors across the U.S. and around the world every year.

UIS Recognized English Proficiency Tests 

Qualifying scores must have been obtained within the last 2 years. The only exception is for applicants that submit scores for a test taken more than 2 years ago and the student has been continuously studying at a college or university within the U.S. Some of our programs require higher scores than the general admissions requirements.

The University of Illinois Springfield could return to a more normal atmosphere in the fall if the pandemic trends continue in the right direction.  The university system has announced it plans to offer more in-person classes starting in August, citing the rising number of people getting vaccinated as a main reason.

The University of Illinois System announced Thursday that three state universities will not require students to submit standardized test scores for admission applications. 

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Illinois Chicago and University of Illinois Springfield will allow high school students to apply for admission for the two upcoming academic years without taking the ACT or SAT.
