The University of Illinois Springfield Music Program and the Illinois Symphony Orchestra [ISO] have joined forces in a new Partnership in Education and Civic Engagement.
The Camerata is a scholarship-supported musical experience available to current and incoming students of any major. Interested applicants must complete an Institutional Scholarship Application and a UIS Camerata Scholarship Application Form, which includes a video audition. A variety of facilities are available to UIS music students.
The Department of Art, Music, and Theatre fosters study in the practical application of various arts disciplines, as well as study in the historical, cultural, and philosophical underpinnings of each discipline.
The University of Illinois Springfield Music Program and the Illinois Symphony Orchestra (ISO) have joined forces in a new Partnership in Education and Civic Engagement [PEACE]. The partnership is intended to enrich the cultural, educational and career-training opportunities of UIS students, to enhance music education in the Springfield-area and to extend the reach of both organizations into the community.
