Dear colleagues,
I am excited to announce that the new Training and Development Resources website is now live.
Good morning:
UIS has re-established a SHIELD saliva-based COVID-19 testing site on campus available to active-status students, faculty and staff this semester. The site opens TODAY in a new location: Classroom 28 in the WUIS Building. Please note: The UIS SHIELD site is no longer providing testing to members of the public.
Hours of operations are:
Greetings!
Our August COVID-19 briefing is at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12. We will provide an overview of Fall 2022 guidelines related to COVID-19, discuss the upcoming reopening of our SHIELD testing center, and answer questions.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and the briefing is recorded to watch at a later date.
The website continues to show dramatic improvements in site performance post-migration.
The pageviews continues to increase from June to July by an overall 5.05% for 838,650 pageviews. The average time on the page also went up to 1.64% The bounce rate is holding strong at 1.14%.
When comparing to our numbers July 2021, the pageviews increased by 79.49% (838,650 vs 467,233) and the bounce rate has decreased 98%.
As the Covid-19 vaccines were rolled out, UIS created a policy stating:
“All UIS faculty, staff, volunteers and long-term guests who work on the UIS campus or in off-campus UIS facilities must be fully vaccinated. New hires must be fully vaccinated and show proof thereof, or proof that they have begun the vaccination process, prior to their first scheduled day of work and upload their vaccine record to the Medicat patient portal once their employment begins.”
Now that academic reorganization is complete, new resources are available to the campus community.
