New Year, New Goals
With the beginning of another academic year upon us, UIS faculty, staff, and students have access to new learning opportunities through our partnership with Academic Impressions.
The website continues to show dramatic improvements in site performance post-migration.
The pageviews continues to increase from June to July by an overall 5.05% for 838,650 pageviews. The average time on the page also went up to 1.64% The bounce rate is holding strong at 1.14%.
As the Covid-19 vaccines were rolled out, UIS created a policy stating:
“All UIS faculty, staff, volunteers and long-term guests who work on the UIS campus or in off-campus UIS facilities must be fully vaccinated. New hires must be fully vaccinated and show proof thereof, or proof that they have begun the vaccination process, prior to their first scheduled day of work and upload their vaccine record to the Medicat patient portal once their employment begins.”
Now that academic reorganization is complete, new resources are available to the campus community.
Logos
New unit logos and social media icons for colleges, school and departments are now available for download at uis.edu/brand. If you are unable to find your unit or social media logos, please contact Campus Services.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff —
Today, the UI System shared its COVID-19 requirements for the Fall 2022 semester. UIS supports this approach and will provide details about our university-specific guidelines next week.
Dear students, faculty and staff:
As we prepare to return to our universities this fall, University of Illinois System leaders continue to think first and foremost about the safety of all of you and the surrounding communities amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Throughout the pandemic, measures we have taken to mitigate against the virus that causes COVID-19 have made our three universities among the safest places to be. These measures – particularly vaccination – remain our best protection.

University of Illinois Springfield baseball player Zion Pettigrew signed a free agent with the Washington Nationals organization this week.
