We are aware that University of Illinois System employees may have received an email yesterday asking employees to schedule a “retirement and pension meeting.” That email was NOT sent by the university nor SURS, and is NOT from one of our approved retirement plan providers. Please exercise caution whenever you receive email from unknown sources.
ITS is excited to announce that we are in the implementation portion of our classroom technology refresh project - converting 34 classrooms to be hyflex and installing annotating monitors, bring-your-own-device capabilities, and easy-to-use control units to manage the technology.

During the break between semesters, ITS will be upgrading the servers that host Wi-Fi and the VPN on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17.
Users may experience a brief interruption in Wi-Fi service during this time. Users already connected to the VPN should remain connected, but there may be a brief period when new connections will not be available.

The Office of Web Services is preparing to launch a new UIS mobile app. Help us create the ultimate mobile app experience by sharing your valuable feedback! We're conducting a quick App Features Survey to understand employee’s desired features and content for our mobile app.
Ready to elevate your campus experience to the next level? The highly anticipated UIS mobile app is set to launch in the summer of 2023, with a soft launch in June for internal audiences to test and resolve any issues. A hard launch will soon follow at the beginning of the Fall semester for the public.
To help optimize our time during Friday’s information session, faculty and staff are invited to submit a question in advance by emailing chancellor@uis.edu by 5 p.m. Thursday.

Biennial Users —
University Property Accounting and Reporting (UPAR) is excited to announce a new feature in the Biennial Inventory (BI) application. The new Mass Update tool is now available to Biennial users with the role of Unit Contact and Unit Specialist.
UIS is committed to protecting minors that visit campus so they can enjoy the wonderful events and programs our community offers. For departments that want to offer programs to minors, our Protection of Minors page has detailed information on planning and hosting an event for young visitors.
