The Civil Service Advisory Council (CSAC) is pleased to announce that FY2024 funding has been made available to assist Civil Service Employees (CS) at UIS with professional development. Each status CS employee employed at least 50% time may apply for up to $1,200 to use toward any aspect of past or future professional development occurring during the 2024 fiscal year (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024). Examples include subscriptions to journals, conference and meeting registration, conference travel, workshops, and online training materials.

While this event is called APAC the House, of course we’d be more than happy to welcome our civil service and faculty colleagues. Admission is FREE for employees and children 12 and under. All general admission is $8 for other family and friends above 12 years old that wish to attend.

The University Senates Conference (USC), in conjunction with various stakeholders of the University of Illinois System, has proposed significant changes to the Code of Conduct. USC has requested feedback on this new University of Illinois System Values and Principles for Conduct document from each University within the System, to be collected by the respective Campus Senate.

The UIS Police Department will be conducting a brief lockdown test of the swipe card door access system from 8:45am until approximately 9:00am on Thursday, November 16.
