Guess what? It’s that time of the year again for the Faculty & Staff Campaign at UIS! This isn’t just any campaign, though. This year, it’s all about embracing the magic of extra time.
The issue with the PAC tower 3 elevator was resolved on Monday, January 8. The elevator is now fully operational.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:
Facilities and Services will be overseeing the inspection and testing of fire alarms during the week of January 8. The alarm horns and the strobe lights will be activated intermittently as part of the test procedures to ensure all components of the system are working properly. Please note: You should not ignore any alarms sounding outside this schedule or alarms that sound for a prolonged length of time.

2023 Employees of the Month

We want to inform you that we have scheduled elevator inspections beginning about noon on Thursday, January 4, in the following buildings:
- Founders Residence Hall
- Health & Sciences Building
- Public Affairs Center
These inspections are necessitated by recent elevator updates completed as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining safety and functionality on campus.
ITS is performing required server maintenance Thursday, January 4, from 9-10 a.m. This maintenance will involve an interruption in service to several applications, including any app running on apps.uis.edu. Other services such as email, Canvas, Box, and the UIS website will NOT be impacted.
No data will be lost or impacted. Full functionality is planned to return by 10 a.m.

The Student Union has transitioned into the following hours for winter break:
- December 16-17: Closed
- December 18-21: Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- December 22-January 1: Closed
- January 2: Reopening from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
