Today we are issuing our UIS Fall 2021 Student COVID-19 Vaccination Policy in alignment with the UI System’s recently announced requirement that all students be vaccinated against COVID-19 if they plan to be on campus during the Fall 2021 semester.

For the past 15 months, our UIS family has been committed to adhering to our United in Safety guidelines to prioritize health and safety. I appreciate how seriously each of you has taken these directives.
Today, Illinois enters the “Bridge to Phase 5” of the Restore Illinois plan, which further relaxes COVID-19 restrictions. This is a welcome development indicative of important progress in our pandemic journey.
