How did your UIS education prepare you for your career?

I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and took Advertising as an elective. It was one of my favorite classes, so I knew I wanted to work in that field somehow.

Women's Philanthropy Luncheon

National trends show that women are increasingly becoming the face of wealth, giving and legacy. Women tend to be more generous with their wealth and contribute more frequently. The desire to create a personal connection and meaningful relationships demonstrates a desire to give both time and financial resources. The annual Women's Philanthropy Luncheon is an opportunity for women philanthropists to connect and learn about opportunities to support the UIS community.

The University of Illinois Springfield and the University of Illinois Foundation host an annual Celebration of Philanthropy event to celebrate individuals who make a difference through philanthropic support. Each year the William E. Winter Award for Outstanding Advocate Leadership is given to recognize individuals outside the university structure who play active roles in securing private support.
