Dear Faculty and Staff —
Following our comprehensive search for the College of Health, Science and Technology dean position, I have decided not to offer the position to either of the two finalists presented for consideration. While it is disappointing that this search did not yield a successful candidate, I believe it is in the university’s best interest to pursue a new search in the future.

Good morning,
We have made it to May! Very soon, we will be celebrating the achievements of our wonderful graduates during our May 13 commencement ceremony. I hope everyone enjoys these next two weeks as we recognize and honor our students’ hard work, while juggling our busy end-of-semester responsibilities.

Dear UIS Faculty and Staff –
Please remember to encourage students to take the UIS Commencement Survey by April 28. Our students' voices are critically important to help us make an informed decision about the future location of commencement and other details that go into making this a special day for our graduates.

Good morning,
We are certainly in our “busy season” at UIS, with lots of exciting end-of-term activities, Springfest and final steps with most of our administrative searches. Last week was our annual STARS Symposium; I am so sorry I wasn’t on campus to attend but heard it was a great event. Congratulations to all involved!
