Black History Month Collage Concert
The annual UIS “Lift Every Voice!” Black History Month Collage Concert will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. The concert welcomes participation by UIS students, faculty/staff, and community members. Young musicians are especially encouraged to apply.
The concert ends with a collaboration performance of the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by the UIS Choir and multiple visiting choirs. If your choir would like to join this performance, please fill out an application form.

"Tableaux Musicaux" Faculty Voice Recital
Please join us for a faculty voice recital featuring UIS faculty vocalist Aubrey Hawkinson. The program explores themes of friendship, love, lust, and loss, and includes works by Gounod, Handel, Mozart, Sondheim, Massenet, Schumann. This is part of the UIS Music Faculty Recital Series. The University of Illinois Music Program presents "Black Classical Composers: A Lecture-Demonstration With Violinist Chenoa Murphy" as part of its First Tuesday Brown Bag Concert Series. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 06, 12pm in the Student Union Ballroom Lobby. It is Free and open to the public.

Enjoy a free lunchtime concert by musicians of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra! Feel free to bring your lunch, to stay for the entire concert or just for a short while. All are welcome! The concert will take place in the Student Union Ballroom Lobby directly in front of Starbucks.
Solo Competition
The 12th Annual University of Illinois Springfield Music Solo Competition will take place virtually. Application and Video Audition are due by Saturday, Nov. 09, 2024. Participation is open to UIS students and community members, grades 5-12.
