WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield Campus Recreation Department will host the annual Health and Safety Fair. This year’s theme is “Don’t Gamble with your Health.” This event is free and open to the public, UIS students, faculty, staff and alumni.

University of Illinois Springfield Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) will offer four academic summer camps for middle and high school students in June and July. Sangamon Experience at the University of Illinois Springfield will present five livestreamed historical discussions at 6 p.m. every Wednesday in March as part of their “Women’s History Month: Community Trailblazers” series.

The University of Illinois Springfield Center for State Policy and Leadership and the Community Health Roundtable will host a free virtual public webinar titled “The Health of our Local Economy and Businesses after Two Years of the COVID-19 Pandemic” at Noon Friday, Feb. 18 via Zoom.

The University of Illinois Springfield and the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation (ILBCF) Speaker Series will discuss “Creating an Equitable and Inclusive Health Care System in Illinois” during a Zoom virtual event from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022.

WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) Music Program, the UIS Diversity Center and NPR Illinois will host “Lift Every Voice: Collage Concert in Celebration of Black History Month.” The concert is free and open to the public.

The UIS Visual Art Gallery's reception for the WORK/PLAY exhibition originally scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 17 has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. The reception will now be held on from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24.

WHAT: The University of Illinois System’s Discovery Partners Institute Center for Urban Resilience and Environmental Sustainability (CURES) will hold its inaugural Community Project Lab at the University of Illinois Springfield. This year’s lab topic is “Sustainable Solutions for Small Illinois Communities Facing a Changing Climate.”
