The UIS men's basketball team heads back on the road this weekend following a split at home, traveling to Missouri for two important GLVC matchups. The Prairie Stars will face Drury on Thursday at 7:45 p.m. in Springfield, Mo., before taking on Missouri S&T on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Rolla, Mo.

After back-to-back dominant performances at home, the UIS Prairie Stars hit the road this weekend for a pair of GLVC matchups in Missouri. The Stars will travel to Springfield on Thursday to face Drury at 5:45 p.m., then head to Rolla on Saturday to take on Missouri S&T at 1:00 p.m.

Both the UIS women's and men's basketball teams head to Missouri for key GLVC matchups at Drury and Missouri S&T, while the track and field program travels to Kentucky to compete in the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic.

The UIS men's track team opened its indoor season Saturday at the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open, leaning into its strength in the distance events.
Colin Graham turned in one of the day's top performances for the Prairie Stars, placing 10th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:31.05. He was one of 10 UIS runners competing in the event, as freshman Charlie Borlin finished second among UIS runners, placing 18th in 8:44.79.
The UIS women's track team opened its indoor season Saturday at the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open, as junior Marissa Roggensack posted top-15 finishes in both the 800 meters and the mile.
Roggensack led the way for UIS in the distance events, finishing fifth in the 800 meters in 2:23.56 and placing 13th in the mile in 5:11.27.Olivia Thomsen also turned in a solid performance in the 3,000 meters, placing 15th in 11:25.01.
Illinois Springfield (11-6, 7-2 GLVC) secured an 84-61 victory over Southwest Baptist (9-8, 3-6 GLVC) on Saturday at TRAC. The Prairie Stars made 13 three-pointers and tallied 22 assists in the win.
Illinois Springfield women's basketball (7-10, 4-5 GLVC) defeated Southwest Baptist (5-10, 2-7 GLVC), 89-51, at TRAC on Saturday, powered by a commanding 42 points off turnovers. This victory capped off a week where UIS outscored its opponents by an average of 44 points in two home wins.
The Illinois Springfield men's track and field team opens its indoor season Saturday at the Bob Eubanks Open, hosted by Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich.
UIS will feature a strong contingent of middle- and long-distance runners throughout the meet, beginning with a trio entered in the men's 800 meters. Chase Cooley, River Derby and Finn Loken are all set to compete as the Prairie Stars open the indoor schedule.
