Roof Work on Founders and Lincoln Residence Halls

Repair and replacement efforts are on the horizon for the residence hall roofs. The contractor will be on site starting Monday, August 25. Work will begin on Founders Hall then proceed to Lincoln. Weather permitting, both roofs are expected to be completed in November.

Please use caution if you need to travel near the residence hall. Construction zones and equipment placement areas will be marked to assist with navigation and ensure safety.

Roofing demolition and removal is currently scheduled for September 2-5. As roofing debris is removed, a forklift will travel from the east side of Lincoln to the PAC dock area, where a temporary dumpster will be located. See the image to the right for the forklift path and dumpster location. Stay alert when walking between Lincoln, University Hall, and the dock area of PAC during this period.

The roofing contractor will have a crane on site again Friday, Sept. 5, from around 10:30 to about 12:30. The crane will be positioned on the west side of Founders Residence Hall, just off Eliza Farnham Drive. The bus stop on that corner will remain open and accessible. The red rectangle on the included image indicates the approximate location for the crane.
