October: Supervisor Development Day

Supervisor Development Day will be taking place on October 20th, 2026 and there's still time to register! We are excited to offer a half-day of programming this year specifically chosen to equip supervisors with knowledge and skills to successfully lead their teams. Feel free to attend a single session, but we hope you will join us for a morning full of learning opportunities. Please register online for this event. November: Safety Awareness and Emergency Preparedness

The November Employee Development Series will be about Safety Awareness and Emergency Preparedness. Presented by The Director of Safety and Environmental Compliance, Ravneet Chhokar will discuss emergency evacuation protocols, fire prevention, slips/trips/falls prevention, and ergonomics. Please join us for this interactive session on November 17, 2026, in the Student Union Ballroom from 9:00-11:00am.

Wellness Wednesday

The Student Affairs Wellness & Inclusion Committee is hosting a series called “Wellness Wednesday” aimed at exploring all 9 dimensions of the Wellness Wheel. Sessions will be held in the LRH Great Room at 4pm. Those who attend a session will be entered for a chance to win Starbucks gift cards and larger wellness-themed giveaways can be won for participants who attend multiple sessions. Sessions are open to both students and employees! View upcoming sessions on the Wellness Hub or UIS Connection.

Annual Ethics Training

The required ethics training for all University of Illinois employees is now available until October 30, 2026 at 5:00pm! This year's course focuses on relevant issues and events as they relate to the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act, Illinois Executive Order 15-09 and the Illinois Human Rights Act. Anyone who does not complete the course in its entirety will be considered noncompliant and subject to corrective action in accordance with established policies and procedures. Scheduled reminders will be sent to anyone who has not completed the course in its entirety on October 13, 2026 and October 29, 2026. University Ethics and Compliance staff can be contacted at ethicsofficer@uillinois.edu with questions or concerns.
