Friendly Reminder

Remote Work Agreements

Remote work can be a viable option for employees in jobs that are suited for such an arrangement. Civil Service and Academic Professional employees working a remote work schedule must keep a current Remote Work Agreement on file with Human Resources. UIS now has an electronic form that can be used to document and approve Remote Work Agreements.

Information on Remote Work at UIS, including the UIS Remote Work Policy, can be found on the HR website.

The electronic Remote Work Agreement form can be accessed here.

For Your Information

HR Hiring Process & Timeline

In an effort to increase transparency and efficiency, Human Resources has created the UIS Hiring Process and Timeline. This timeline documents each step of the Academic Professional and Civil Service hiring process from the point a job description is initiated in JDXpert to the point where an offer is made to an applicant. The timeline also includes the average calendar days it takes at each step in the process. We hope hiring units find this information useful. Human Resources continues to analyze and seek improvements in the hiring process and intends to update this document regularly.
