On this Day of Service, volunteers are invited to help assemble care kits for local nonprofit organizations supporting individuals and families in need. Organizations will include The James Project, Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery, Lee Elementary School, Helping Hands and others.
The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast, sponsored by the Springfield Frontiers International Club is held each year honoring the legacy of the civil rights leader. The event gathers community members from across the Springfield metro area for reflection, fellowship, and celebration.
