The search for the UIS Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources has yielded four finalists. Finalist 2 will be visiting campus for interviews Nov. 20.
An open forum will take place for interested faculty and staff to attend and learn more about each of the candidates. A Zoom link is available for each forum, but in-person attendance is strongly encouraged. Participants on Zoom will be able to ask questions via the chat function only.

The 10th annual lighting of the Colonnade will happen at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 15. Cookies and cocoa will be served at 5:15 p.m., followed by the lighting of the Colonnade by the Chancellor and SGA president.

Please join us for the next installment of the monthly Employee Development Series: Violence Prevention & De-Escalation Training with Captain Justin Emmons. Attendees will leave this session with new knowledge on identifying different types of disruptive, concerning or criminal behaviors, how to be a good witness, and the do’s and don’ts of incident involvement. Important topics such as stress responses and the escalation continuum will be covered as well alongside crisis intervention tools to use within a de-escalation framework.
The Sangamon Experience at the University of Illinois Springfield invites you to attend the grand opening of its new exhibit, Soil & Soul: Farming in the Sangamon River valley, which includes a documentary film that tells the stories of 10 individuals who have spent their lives farming throughout the Sangamon River valley, an area that encompasses approximately 1,500 square in central Illinois.
Soil & Soul is presented by United Community Bank, with additional funding from the Melvin Wing Charitable Trust and the Dan and Carolyn Dungan Family Fund.
