Raising Politically Engaged Kids: Constitution Day Community Panel

The Center for State Policy & Leadership and Springfield Public Schools District 186 are partnering to present a special community panel for Constitution Day 2025. Please join us on September 16th for a discussion on "Raising Politically Engaged Kids." Panelists will include Dr. Lindsey Cormack, author of How to Raise a Citizen, and Terrance Jordan, Director of School Leadership and Family & Community Engagement for District 186. Ensuring High Impact Practices Across Campus Presentation

The High Impact Practices (HIPs) Subcommittee invites all UIS faculty and staff to attend a campus-wide presentation titled "Ensuring High Impact Practices Across Campus" from 10-11:45 a.m. in the Student Union Ballroom on Tuesday, August 5th, by Dr. Ashley Finley, Vice President of Research and Senior Advisor to the President at the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U).

This session will be presented by Drew Schlosser, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. Topics discussed will include, but are not limited to, the guiding principles of performance management, processes available for various groups on campus, tips for supervisors, and Do’s/Don’ts from a Legal Perspective.
