After decades behind the scenes, countless shows, late nights, load-ins, load-outs, and keeping the curtain rising, Joe Taylor is retiring from UIS!

Join us as we celebrate a true original, a legendary stagehand, and one of the people who helped build this venue from the very beginning.

Since 1981, Joe has been part of the crew, the family, and the story. Now it's time for one final send-off at the UIS Performing Arts Center Donor Lounge (3rd floor atrium lounge) on Thursday, June 11, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The May session of the Employee Development Series will be from the Access & Equity Office (AEO) titled “What We Do and How We Support”. This session will be held in the Student Union Ballroom on May 26, 2026, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. This one-hour presentation by Jeff Moulton will include an overview of the role of AEO, non-discrimination issues, and reasonable accommodations. Registration is not required for this event.

The Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness is hosting candidates for the Associate Director of Assessment & Accreditation position.

The final candidate presentation will be held in UHB 2023 today, May 13, at 2 p.m.

Each candidate will be presenting their vision for advancing assessment and accreditation at UIS.
