• Thursday, March 19 at 3:00 PM in UHB 2008

Each candidate will deliver a 20 to 30-minute presentation. A Q&A session will follow each presentation.

The March installment of the Employee Development Series will be on Annual Evaluations presented by Kenzie Filchak and Drew Schlosser on March 31, 2026, from 9 to 11 a.m. Information from this session will be most beneficial to supervisors, but all are welcome to attend. Topics covered in this session include form functions, preparing for the evaluation discussion with employees, and avoiding evaluation pitfalls. The evaluation season will begin April 1, 2026, with evaluations due June 5, 2026.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 9, UIS Athletics will host a planned emergency response training exercise at Kiwanis Stadium. During this time, you may notice an increased presence of law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, ambulances, and a helicopter operating near the stadium.

Campus Senate will meet on Friday, March 6, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, in Brookens Library 230-A.

Another round of Take Your Child to Work Day is happening April 23, 2026. We have a full afternoon planned that includes a dorm tour, exercise science activity, E-sports tour and more. We welcome up to 20 kids, aged 10-15 years old (7-9 with a parent present), to come and join us as we explore UIS.

Faculty and staff are invited to join the annual College2Career networking hour occurring 9:30 am - 10:30 am CDT on Friday, March 20, 2026 in TRAC.

The next Civil Service Advisory Council meeting will be held Wednesday, March 4th at 10:00 am. The meeting will be held and streamed via Zoom at the link below. All Civil Service employees are welcome to attend.

The Office of Strategic Communications will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Spring 2026 for all staff or faculty. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn’t had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken are encouraged to attend.
