Illinois Springfield men's basketball fell to Cedarville, 65-62, in a closely contested matchup on Tuesday night at TRAC.
Jordan Rice set the tone early for UIS with two made free throws, followed by a three-pointer, helping establish an 11-4 lead after a Tye Banks triple at 16:15. Cedarville responded, tying the game at 19-19 on a three from Jordan Jonathan.
Illinois Springfield women's basketball defeated St. Francis (IL), 76-56, behind a strong defensive effort that forced 26 turnovers and turned them into 27 points. The win marked the Prairie Stars' first home victory of the season.

College basketball is officially back on the UIS campus! Both the men's and women's teams have already taken the floor for several non-conference matchups as they gear up for the rugged Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule ahead.

The UIS men's basketball team returns home on Tuesday for a 5:00 p.m. matchup against Cedarville, part of UIS's first home doubleheader of the season. The Prairie Stars follow the women's game against St. Francis (IL), which tips off at 3:00 p.m. UIS enters the contest at 3-1 after an impressive week that included a 107–78 win over Williams Baptist, with transfer guard Isaiah Davis averaging 25.5 points per game across the two victories.
The UIS women's basketball team returns to TRAC for a Tuesday afternoon matchup against St. Francis (IL), with tip-off set for 3:00 p.m. The game opens the first home doubleheader of the year, followed by a 5:00 p.m. men's matchup against Cedarville.

You share a campus with a championship-level program — and now is your chance to enjoy the games, the atmosphere, and the perks that come with it. We have home games tomorrow (women at 3 p.m. against St. Francis; men at 5 p.m.
This week features home basketball, a fun community event on campus, and GLVC-opening action in men's and women's basketball. Fans can catch Prairie Stars basketball both at TRAC and on the road.
